33rd Arab Summit/ Moroccan King Affirms Morocco’s Rejection of Forced Displacement of Palestinians from Gaza

King Mohammed VI of Morocco stressed his country's rejection of the Israeli occupation attempts to impose a new reality in Gaza and the attempts to displace Palestinians forcefully, stressing that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestinian territories and the unified Palestinian state. In a speech delivered on his behalf by Prime Minister of Morocco Aziz Akhannouch before the 33rd Arab Summit held in Manama, Bahrain on Thursday, King Mohammed VI indicated that the reprisals in the Gaza Strip revealed grave violations that contradict the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law. He reiterated the firm support for the Palestinian people to regain their legitimate rights and establish their independent and sovereign state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of the two-state solution.
