At least eight people, including six children, were killed in a landmine explosion in Somalia.
The incident took place between the village of Jicibow and town of Bulaburde in Hirshabelle state.
A security official said the victims were two families traveling together in the same auto-rickshaw to their farms when they struck a landmine.
Somalia suffers from the spread of mines and remnants of war. A United Nations report in April indicated that more than 1,200 Somalis were killed as a result of unexploded ordnance, mines and explosive devices.
