Diyala Police Chief, Major General Alaa Gharib Al-Zubaidi, announced the dismantling of a prostitution network that practices 'prostitution' and human trafficking. Al-Zubaidi told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency /NINA/: 'A force from Diyala Crime Control Department was able, in a specific operation, to dismantle a network that practices prostitution and human trafficking, and to arrest the mastermind who was involved in bringing in many girls, seducing them, and forcing them into prostitution, and two of the women involved in joining the prostitution network. He added: "Intensive security efforts contributed to dismantling the second prostitution network during the first half of this year," indicating that the defendants' statements and confessions were judicially recorded so that they could receive their just punishment.
