Female parliamentary figures announced the formation of a parliamentary bloc that includes members of the current legislative session from various components, to reject the proposal to amend Personal Status Law No. 188 of 1959. MPs, Nour Al-Jalihawi, Susan Mansour and Wahda Al-Jumaili spoke in a joint press conference today, Saturday, about the motives for forming the new female parliamentary bloc, in addition to pointing to an active political and parliamentary movement to reject the passage of the amendment proposal.
