The Basra Police arrested a person who filmed a video clip insulting the Safwan Mosque.

The Basra Police Command stated in a statement: The detachments of the Safwan Police Department, in conjunction with the Safwan Intelligence Division, were able to arrest the person who filmed a video clip that offends the Safwan mosque and incites sectarian strife in the district.

He added, "The arrest process was based on judicial orders, and after field follow-up, which resulted in locating the accused. His statements were recorded and he will be referred to the competent judicial authorities to take legal action against him." End
