In a phone call with Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian called for strengthening banking cooperation between the two countries as much as possible.
The Iranian News Agency, IRNA, said: "The two Ministers discussed, in the phone call that took place on Thursday evening, the latest developments in relations between the two countries."
Emphasis was placed on the implementation of the security agreement signed between the two countries.
Among the other topics discussed by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries was the need to strengthen Iranian gas transportation lines to Iraq and regional cooperation.
Amir Abdullahian expressed, according to the agency, his gratitude for the financial and banking transfer related to the travel of pilgrims from the funds of the Islamic Republic of Iran through Iraq, calling for further strengthening of banking cooperation between the two countries as much as possible.
