The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, met in New York today, Wednesday, the Chairman of the National Security Committee / Director of the Counter-Terrorism Center in Kyrgyzstan, Ibek Shaminov.
The meeting discussed, according to a statement by the Chancellery, prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of exchanging experiences and information and combating terrorism, in addition to discussing the most prominent issues and files of common concern.
The meeting also witnessed the emphasis of the two sides on the importance of raising the level of cooperation and intensifying international efforts to confront violent extremism that leads to terrorism, and to promote concepts of societal peace, through continued international support and assistance in this field.
