The government Spokesman, Basem Al-Awadi, confirmed: "Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani personally follows up on all projects and stresses their completion."
Al-Awadi said in a televised statement: "Al-Sudani held extensive dialogues with Ministers and Governors regarding the implementation of projects and that the money released to the governorates this year should go to infrastructure."
The Spokesman added: "The next few months will witness the announcement of the completion of infrastructure by 100% for a number of provinces," noting: "The province of Diwaniyah will witness a quantum leap in the completion of service projects."
He continued, "The government is in the process of opening 15 new hospitals with a capacity of 100 beds in 15 governorates."
On the security side, Al-Awadi stressed: "The government is serious about penalizing the perpetrators of major crimes," noting: "There is clear harmony between the government and the efforts of the Supreme Judicial Council."
He explained: "Some of those arrested accused of smuggling oil derivatives are members of the security services and have influence."
