The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Muayad Al-Lami, confirmed that technological progress serves our countries and achieves sustainable development if handled well.
Al-Lami said in a speech at the opening of the Future of Media and Communication Forum, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of more than 300 male and female journalists and influencers on social media platforms: “$15 billion and more are the profits of social media platforms from advertisements while they place restrictions on content,” asking: “What have the Arab countries provided for media freedom and setting professional journalism standards?”
Al-Lami called for working to create a real development media that achieves renaissance and development for Arab societies.
