Al-Mandalawi stresses the importance of advancing the military industry and meeting the needs of the security services

Baghdad, The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, discussed with the head of the Iraqi Military Industrialization Authority, Engineer Mustafa Ati, ways to advance the military industry in Iraq, and the role of legislation and foreign agreements that contribute to the development of these industries and the improvement of their products to qualify them to supply the military institutions and the security establishment with the weapons, equipment and ammunition they need. This will reflect positively in supporting the national economy and local industry. His office stated in a statement, 'During the meeting, Al-Mandalawi affirmed the support of the House of Representatives with all national industrial initiatives and capabilities, since the authority's companies possess the capabilities to develop their industries due to their accumulated technical expertise and good technology, but they need continuous development to keep pace with global development, stressing the necessity of commitment of the ministries and security services to the decisions and instructions related to encouraging the national product, which we are witnessing great steps to develop to compete with the imported one.' For his part, Ati reviewed the most important obstacles facing the completion of development projects for Iraqi military industries, where he presented a summary of the latest developments witnessed by the authority's factories and production lines.
