Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandlawi called, today, Monday, for holding an urgent Islamic summit and coming up with effective recommendations that are consistent with the size of the risks facing Islamic peoples.
Al-Mandlawi condemned the brutal crimes, grave human rights violations and deliberate targeting of Lebanese civilian homes committed by the Zionist killing machine, which led to the martyrdom of hundreds of children, women and elderly people, and the injury of thousands of innocent and defenseless people, expressing the solidarity of Iraq with its religious authority, government, leaders and people with the dear ones in Lebanon.
In a statement issued on Monday evening, Al-Mandlawi called on the government and humanitarian organizations to respond quickly to everything included in the statement of the supreme religious authority, may his shadow endure, through immediate action to provide relief to the brothers in Lebanon, by sending all the humanitarian, medical and logistical aid they need, in addition to supporting them with specialized cadres to contribute to alleviating the suffering they have suffered, in addition to opening Iraqi hospitals to receive critical cases, and working to provide them with the necessary aid to accommodate the displaced whose homes were damaged as a result of these bloody acts.
The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives warned, according to the statement, of the malicious efforts of the leaders and army of the Zionist occupation to expand the scope of the war and violations against other countries in the region, stressing that the international community is required today not to use double standards in the horrific violations of international laws and charters, calling on it to take real and effective action to deter the leaders of the occupation and stop the aggression before the effects of the events in the region reverberate on all countries of the world.
Al-Mandlawi stressed, according to the statement, the need to hold an urgent Islamic summit to come up with effective recommendations that are consistent with the size of the risks facing Islamic peoples, noting that the countries supporting this usurping entity are partners in the brutal crimes and for every drop of blood that has been shed and continues to be shed to this moment.
