Al-Mundhiriyah border crossing in Diyala Governorate witnessed the influx of thousands of Iranian visitors on their way to the holy Karbala to perform the Arbaeen pilgrimage rituals. Director of the Husseini Processions Authority in Diyala, Ahmed Ali Taher, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that Al-Mundhiriyah crossing, northeast of Baqubah, witnessed the influx of Iranian visitors on their way to the holy shrines to perform the Arbaeen visit rituals amidst a security and service alert. He added that the entry of Iranian visitors is increasing according to the readings, and may reach / 15 / thousand visitors per day through Al-Mundhiriyah crossing, stressing that the Husseini Processions Authority provided all logistical support to Iranian visitors and other nationalities.
