Baghdad, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced today, Wednesday, that it is engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces penetrating east of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. The new clashes came as Israeli forces reinforced with tanks penetrated the city of Rafah at dawn on Tuesday, took control of the Palestinian part of the Rafah crossing, and cut off the road between the crossing and Salah al-Din Road, after Tel Aviv announced that the truce offer presented by Hamas in the Cairo talks did not meet its demands, confirming that it will go ahead with the attack that it has threatened for a long time. Despite this, the Al-Qassam Brigades continue to target Israeli military concentrations in various areas of the Gaza Strip, and yesterday it announced that it bombed Israeli concentrations east of the city of Rafah with a 114 mm short-range 'Rajum' missile system, and it also targeted the military site east of the Netzarim axis with heavy-caliber mortar shells.
