The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, chaired an expanded meeting in Maysan Governorate Office building, in the presence of the Maysan local government, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, MP Karim Aliwi Al-Muhammadawi, and a number of undersecretaries, leaders, and officers. During the meeting, the Minister stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and taking all measures by all security agencies to enhance security and stability. The Minister affirmed supporting the work of the Maysan Governorate Police Command with logistical needs and human resources, stressing the importance of providing the best services to citizens by the departments of the Ministry of Interior operating in Maysan, including the Directorates of Traffic, Civil Status, and Civil Defense.'
