Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made a phone call today, Sunday, with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The Saudi Press Agency - SPA reported that "the call discussed developments in the Palestinian territories," noting that the Crown Prince stressed the necessity of exerting all efforts, Arab and Islamic, to stop the escalation and stop the ongoing Israeli violations against the brotherly Palestinian people. For its part, the Egyptian presidency said that "President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, where the strength of the historical fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries was confirmed, and discussions were held on regional conditions and ways to enhance joint Arab action to confront the challenges that affect regional security and peace." According to the Egyptian statement, "There was agreement on the need to reach an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and stop the escalation in the West Bank, whi ch would contribute to preventing the expansion of the circle of conflict and restore stability to the region."
