Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed the openness of the Iraqi investment environment to all productive and fruitful partnerships. The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement: "Al-Sudani received, on Tuesday evening, Baghdad time, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on the sidelines of his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed, ways to enhance them, and support economic exchange, while the Prime Minister stressed the openness of the Iraqi investment environment to all productive and fruitful partnerships, pointing to the expansion of foreign investments and the diversity of available fields and opportunities. The two sides exchanged invitations for official visits to the two countries, in order to strengthen the bonds of cooperation, open new areas of joint work, activate the Iraqi-Greek Joint Committee, and develop bilateral relations in light of t he end of the mission of the international coalition in Iraq. The Greek Prime Minister, for his part, praised the pivotal role played by Iraq in the region and the world, pointing to the steps of the Iraqi government in support of stability, security and development, and its efforts on this path. The meeting witnessed discussions on developments in the situations in Lebanon and Gaza, and the continuation of the aggression, as Al-Sudani stressed "What is happening is a deliberate genocide, and Iraq has sought on all occasions to remind the international community of its responsibilities to stop the aggression and prevent the spread of conflict in the region."
