Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed Ministries and relevant Authorities to quickly implement decisions related to women. A statement from his media office said that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired the periodic meeting of the Supreme Council for Women's Affairs today, Thursday, during which the implementation of the decisions of previous meetings was reviewed, and the procedures of the Ministries and relevant authorities were followed up, as His Excellency directed the rapid implementation and exertion of efforts regarding everything that achieves the interests of women and improves their reality in all fields. During the meeting, Al-Sudani stressed the importance of women's sectors, as women today represent more than half of society, but they are restricted in many aspects, which requires the council to develop rapid working mechanisms to enhance their ability to face various challenges. The meeting reviewed the topics on the agenda, where the logo of the Supreme Council for Wome n's Affairs was approved, and also approved the launch of the initiative (the National Team for Iraqi Women) to support, develop and enhance the skills of young women in various fields, most notably social and economic, by preparing specialized training programs that suit their needs and enhance their capabilities in various specialties, where about (5000) young women from all governorates are selected, by applying through the platform of the National Team for Iraqi Women, which will be launched soon. It was also approved to hold the National Women's Dialogue Forum, regarding supporting women and listening to the problems and needs of women in Baghdad and the governorates, as well as approving the (National Women's Training Program), which aims to train women working in the private sector, and the training includes the fields of digital marketing, electronic payment, information technology, artificial intelligence, economic empowerment and management, marketing and sales, and it was also approved to postpone the date of holding the (Iraqi Arab Women's Forum) until mid-November in the capital, Baghdad. The Council also decided to host the Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on Women, Family and Childhood and a number of judges to discuss the Personal Status Law in the next session, as well as to host a representative from the Ministry of Health to discuss the form prepared by the Ministry to address divorce rates and provide psychological support and advice. The Council decided that members should submit comments on the Domestic Violence Law for discussion in the next session, and that workshops would be held later to discuss the provisions of the law, as well as assigning the Ministry of Communications to establish the (Women's Eye) platform for the Supreme Council for Women.
