Baghdad, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, which he arrived at earlier today, Tuesday, to attend Pezeshkian's inauguration ceremony. During the meeting, according to a statement by his office, Al-Sudani expressed Iraq's congratulations, government and people, to President Pezeshkian and the Iranian people on the success of the presidential elections and the selection of a successor to the late President Ibrahim Raisi (may God have mercy on him). The meeting witnessed discussions on developing bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation in various economic and developmental fields, as well as reviewing the conditions and tensions in the region, and the efforts made to stop the aggression on Gaza and prevent the expansion of the conflict, and ways to stop the genocide against the Palestinian people, and open the ports for providing urgent humanitarian and medical aid.
