Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, today, Wednesday, conducted a field visit to the Australian Hospital project in the east of Baqubah, the center of Diyala Governorate, which he arrived this morning to follow up and inaugurate a number of service projects. According to a statement from his office, Al-Sudani toured the project site, reviewing the rates of completion and the progress of implementation, stressing that companies undertaking service and strategic projects must adhere to the timetables, and not procrastinate in any way; because this matter is unacceptable, whatever the pretexts, stressing that the government is determined in all service projects to end any procrastination, and completely remove its causes. The Australian Hospital project has a capacity of 400 beds and is being implemented by a specialized Australian company. It is one of the projects that has been stalled since 2008. Work has been resumed on it as part of the government's drive to end stalled projects. The completion rate h as reached 27%. The hospital consists of 5 floors, a consulting clinic, and various specialized departments to deal with various diseases, in addition to a 40-bed emergency hall and other service departments.
