The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed: "Maintaining security and stability is a responsibility that does not stop at a certain limit or at a specific stage, but must respond to various challenges and developments, and that there is no room for slackness, in addition to adopting modern technologies and cameras in the security system, which expands the capabilities of formations in carrying out duties." Al-Sudani's media office stated in a statement: "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces chaired a meeting of military and security leaders in Diyala Governorate, as part of his visit to the governorate, in the presence of leaders and commanders of various military, security and intelligence formations." Al-Sudani listened to "a briefing on the overall security situation and intelligence position, presented by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations. He also reviewed the security plans in place and areas of responsibility through a briefing presented by the Commander of Diyala Operations." The Commander-in-Chief renewed his directives regarding the tasks of maintaining security and stability, stating: "It is a responsibility that does not stop at a certain limit or at a specific stage, but must respond to various challenges and developments, and that there is no room for slackness, in addition to adopting modern technologies and cameras in the security system, which expands the capabilities of the formations in carrying out duties." Al-Sudani pointed out the necessity of containing problems, preventing them from being exploited by those lying in wait, and working on everything that would preserve coexistence and the spirit of tolerance among the people of the governorate from all spectrums, which represents a responsibility shared by the federal government with the local government and the security forces responsible in the governorate. He stressed the importance of raising the levels of intelligence coordination, preempting any event, breach or defect, a nd moving quickly to ensure prevention, recalling that economic development, integration of service projects, and the recovery of social and living conditions are directly linked to the sustainability of security and stability, with the utmost necessity of dealing with citizens in the best way and preserving their dignity while performing duties, in accordance with laws and constitutional rights. He explained: "The crime cannot remain within loose ends, and every criminal case must end with just retribution according to the law." He also directed attention to members of the security services and units in all areas, starting with food and provisions and ending with the implementation of duties.
