Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Thursday, the Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al-Ghais. According to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office, the meeting dealt with issues related to the oil market, with what the region, which represents the main source of oil to the world, is witnessing, and the importance of coordinating joint efforts between all members states of the organization, in a way that maintains the sustainability and stability of oil prices, and does not harm exporters and consumers. The Prime Minister stressed that Iraq, as one of the largest oil exporting countries in the organization, always declares its commitment to the general policies of the plans adopted by OPEC countries regarding production, or what is determined within the framework of the OPEC Plus agreement.
