Al-Sudani receives the European Union Ambassador to Iraq to discuss joint cooperation

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received, today, Sunday, the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Thomas Seiler. A statement by the Prime Minister's Office stated that areas of cooperation between Iraq and the European Union countries were discussed, and developments in the region were reviewed, as well as the continued Zionist aggression on both Lebanon and Gaza. During the meeting, Al-Sudani expressed his appreciation for the positions of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, regarding the continuation of the aggression and its attempts to expand the conflict in the Middle East region. He recalled the need for the major powers to assume their responsibilities in preventing attacks and stopping the genocide with dangerous dimensions that the Zionist entity continues to commit against our Palestinian people, and its brutal attacks have extended to brotherly Lebanon. Ambassador Seiler, for his pa rt, praised Iraq's political positions on the international scene, and its efforts to work towards calming the situation and preventing the expansion of the conflict, which was clear to European countries.
