Algerian Council of Nation Speaker Highlights Qatar’s Leadership in Global Social Development Dialogue

Doha: HE Speaker of the Council of the Nation of Algeria, Azouz Nasri, emphasized Qatar’s significant role in fostering global discussions on sustainable social development during his remarks at the Second World Summit for Social Development.

According to Qatar News Agency, Nasri indicated that Algeria’s involvement in the summit underscores its dedication to contributing to global efforts focused on advancing social development, justice, and equality. He expressed gratitude to Qatar’s leadership, government, and citizens for their hospitality, highlighting Doha’s emergence as a key venue for major international events.

Nasri further elaborated on the strong Algerian-Qatari relations, which he described as a model of successful Arab cooperation and understanding. He commended the ongoing progression in various areas under the guidance of both nations’ leaders, emphasizing a shared vision in backing sustainable development and joint Arab initiatives.

His Excellency also mentioned Algeria’s implementation of social policies targeting healthcare, education, and empowerment for youth and women, along with combating poverty. He noted that over twelve million Algerian students benefit from free education and related services.
