Muscat: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman held a fraternal meeting at the Al Baraka Palace in Muscat. During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks and discussed a number of topics of common interest.
According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders also discussed aspects of historical relations that bind the two fraternal countries. In this regard, HH the Amir and HM the Sultan emphasized their mutual keenness to develop these relations and look forward to pushing them ahead in a way that benefits, prosperity, and development for the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials from both nations. On the Qatari side, attendees included HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, and other prominent ministers and officials. The Omani side was represented by HH Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, HH Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, and other key ministers and dignitaries.
HH the Amir also attended a luncheon banquet hosted by HM the Sultan of Oman in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation.
