Baquba, An informed source confirmed that there is no final agreement that would contribute to resolving the political crisis in Diyala. He told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that meetings are continuing between the parties of the political process in the Diyala Council to reach a solution that ends the complex of forming a local government. The source stated that the differences revolve around the position of governor, and there are discussions to reach a final political agreement within the next two days. The new Diyala Governorate Council is suffering from an unprecedented state of division. There are two teams, the first of 8 members and the other of 7 members, and both parties are facing difficulty in achieving an absolute majority to complete the session to select the Council's president.
