An MOU on Climate Change Signed by the State of Qatar and Global Green Growth Institute

Friday (8th October), the State of Qatar,represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, and the Global Green Growth Institute signed an MOU for the cooperation between both parties in climate change resiliency and green growth

The agreement was concluded in the GGGI headquarter in Seoul, South Korea.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz bin Turkey Al-Subaie, the Minister of Municipality and Environment and the Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon, GGGI President& Chair.

As part of the State of Qatar regional and international efforts in the field of climate change and sustainable development, H.E. the Minister of Municipality and Environment held a series of meetings, starting with his meeting with H.E. Mr./ Ban Ki-moon, GGGI President& Chair.

Furthermore, during the visit, H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz bin Turkey Al-Subaie took the opportunity to meet with H.E. Ms. Han Jeoung-ae, the Minister of Environment, and H.E. Mrs. Hyoeun Jenny Kim, the Deputy Minister for Climate Change in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. The parties discussed means of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea in the fields of environment, climate change and sustainable development. The meetings were attended by H.E. Mr. Khaled bin Ibrahim Al-Hamar, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in the Republic of Korea.
