Cairo, Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Asoomi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Observatory for Human Rights (AOHR), praised the royal decree issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, granting a full pardon and release of 457 convicts on the occasion of His Majesty's silver jubilee. Speaker Al Asoomi highlighted that this humanitarian decision reflects Bahrain's commitment to upholding human rights and promoting social cohesion. He also emphasised that the decree underscores Bahrain's dedication to justice and the rule of law while balancing legal and humanitarian considerations. Al Asoomi commended the kingdom's achievements in human rights, crediting the leadership of His Majesty and the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
