Arab Permanent Committee on Human Rights Due to Hold 52nd Session

Arab Permanent Committee on Human Rights will hold its regular 52nd session at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League on Sunday.

The two-day meeting schedule includes a briefing by UN special rapporteur for human rights in occupied Palestinian territories, the Arab League said in a statement Saturday.

Assistant Arab League Secretary General for Social Affairs Haifa Abu Ghazala said the committee members would be discussing the Israeli occupation's systematic violations and failure to hand over bodies of Palestinians.

She added the committee sought to formulate a unified vision against hatred, violence and discrimination against faiths.

The committee members are to approve the Arab Human Rights Day logo for 2024, and refer recommendations for the ministerial meeting next month, she added.
