Doha: The training course "The art of public speaking for media: how to become a skilled speaker" concluded Wednesday at the Qatar Media Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture. The course, presented by Qatari trainer and media personality Mohammed Al Saadi, was part of the media center's ongoing efforts to provide high-quality training and development. Over the span of three days, the course covered several key areas aimed at enhancing skills in the art of oration and improving the ability to address audiences, particularly through various media platforms. The course focused on the essential skills for effective public speaking, including how to develop and improve these skills, enhance self-confidence, and refine pronunciation and speech tone according to the nature of the occasion and the message. These skills are indispensable in the field of oration. Additionally, the training course addressed public speaking techniques, how to improve oratory abilities, and the common challenges faced by tho se aspiring to speak in front of an audience. It also covered how to enhance personal capabilities, body language, voice modulation, eye contact, and other necessary skills for effectively addressing an audience. Director of the Qatar Media Center, Iman Al Kaabi, explained that the center is finalizing details for the summer plan, which will feature an increased number of workshops and training courses. The aim is to make the most of young people's time by offering programs that can contribute to their professional and academic careers.
