Doha: Aspire Academy has signed a collaboration agreement with the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation to share information and provide training opportunities in a variety of areas. Deputy Director of Aspire Academy, Ali Salem Afifa, and Director of EAA's Al Fakhoora Programme, Talal Al Hothal, signed the cooperation agreement at a ceremony at the Academy. The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation aims to transform lives through education. We believe that education is the single most effective means of reducing poverty, creating peaceful and just societies, unlocking the full potential of every child and youth, and creating the right conditions to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The collaboration will allow beneficiaries identified by the EAA Foundation to participate in future events offered by Aspire Academy. One of Aspire Academy's key projects, which the EAA Foundation will be able to benefit from, is the unique Leadership Development Programme (LDP). The LDP is designed to develop the le adership skills of our student-athletes and to prepare them for future roles both on and off the field. It aims to enhance the student-athletes' personal growth, teamwork, and leadership capabilities, recognising that developing well-rounded individuals is as crucial as athletic success. Al Fakhoora, a programme of EAA Foundation, through Qatar Scholarship, works to ensure the right to education for youth in conflict-affected regions, particularly refugees and IDPs, through the provision of a holistic higher education model. The goal is to unlock a new generation of marginalised youth to become educated, professionally skilled, civically engaged individuals who inspire and guide their families and communities towards cohesion and prosperity. Al Fakhoora Programme Engagement Manager, Abdulla Albakri, explained how a partnership with Aspire Academy can help them achieve their goals. "Through our scholarship programs, we also offer training courses to students to enhance their skills when they the workforce after graduation," he said. "Therefore, the communication and interpersonal skills provided by Aspire Academy are essential for our students." "This is why we are keen to offer these courses to our scholars to enhance their future skills." "Aspire is a significant institution that provides education alongside sports, and we aim to benefit from their expertise in this field. "We want to offer our students what they need and also allow them to benefit from the facilities and training courses offered by Aspire Academy. The Deputy Director of Education and Student Affairs, Ali Ahmad Al Hitmi, outlined why Aspire Academy has entered into the collaboration. "One of the tasks entrusted to Aspire Foundation, especially Aspire Academy, is to establish partnerships to serve the community and education in general," he said. "This cooperation agreement is a programme through which we can offer our services to other institutions. "Through these partnerships, we also aim to build bridges of trust between these instit utions in serving education and supporting all members of these institutions. "These collaborations certainly achieve many of the goals we aspire to, helping to elevate our services and level of performance." "We can develop ourselves by collaborating with other institutions." Aspire Academy has agreed to several objectives, including offering virtual and in-person events that EAA Foundation beneficiaries can apply to participate in. It will also allow Aspire to offer various webinars to EAA Foundation beneficiaries to introduce them to the Academy and its work regionally and globally. The agreement is not limited to academics. Aspire Academy will provide training programmes to a target group of beneficiaries from across the region to allow them to develop their knowledge and understanding of sports and life development.
