Baghdad International Airport received today the first flight of the Bahraini Gulf Air company, in the presence of the Director of Baghdad International Airport, Harith Al-Obaidi, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Iraq, Khaled Ahmed Al-Mansour, and a number of officials at the airport. The Ministry of Transport stated in a statement: 'The reception took place in a festive atmosphere, with friendly words exchanged between the two parties, as the director of Baghdad Airport indicated that the start of operating scheduled flights for Gulf Air is a strategic step aimed at enriching the network of destinations arriving at Baghdad International Airport, and making room for further exchange of relations in various fields, especially tourism, as well as to meet the needs of travelers with efficiency and high quality.' For his part, Ambassador Al-Mansour expressed his happiness at the progress achieved at the level of bilateral relations, pointing out that Gulf Air's new destination is a valuable addition to the network of stations available to travelers, as part of the company's efforts aimed at enhancing its destinations and achieving more positive openness between Manama and Baghdad.
