The delegations of Asian institutions, who are IOI members, exchanged their knowledge and experiences and discussed ways to enhance the role of ombudsman institutions in the region.

They discussed areas of cooperation among themselves, such as training courses, seminars, academic collaboration, exchange of visits, and ways to enhance relations between the Asian members of the IOI.

The meeting affirmed the readiness of the Asian members to strengthen their relations with the rest of the other members of the IOI worldwide through various means, including the exchange of expertise, learning about best practices and technical knowledge, active participation in joint events, and enhancing the credibility and effectiveness of the global ombudsman network.

Ombudswoman Ghada said that participation in this seminar reflects Ombudsman Bahrain's positive role, within the IOI system. It also indicates the appreciation Ombudsman Bahrain has for the IOI and its members.

She added that Ombudsman Bahrain has benefited from the expertise and developmental visions of the work mechanisms of the ombudsman offices, learning about the experiences of others, in addition to contributing to strengthening the role of collective institutions whose membership includes ombudsman offices at the regional and international levels.
