Bahrain welcomes Saudi Arabia’s bid to host 2034 FIFA World Cup

The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's intention to bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, affirming its great confidence in the Kingdom's ability to organise this international sporting event and continue its leading role under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the ambitious vision of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

In a statement, the Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed Bahrain's full support for Saudi Arabia in its endeavours to organise this world championship.

The statement added that Bahrain is looking forward to Saudi Arabia’s hosting World Expo 2030 (Riyadh Expo 2030), wishing the Kingdom and its people further progress and prosperity.
