Robert Lewandowski led the scoring with goals in the 24th minute from a penalty and again in the 39th minute. Pedri added another in the 28th minute, while Pablo Torre completed the tally with a brace, netting in the 82nd and 89th minutes. Sevilla's sole goal came from Stanis Idumbo Muzambo in the 87th minute. With this win, Barcelona extended its lead in the standings to 27 points, three points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid.
