Doha: Barzan Youth Center, in collaboration with Nasser bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Secondary School for Boys, organized the second youth councils’ forum titled “Student Councils, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.” The event was attended by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), Dr. Ibrahim Saleh Al Nuaimi, HE President of Barzan Youth Center, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and officials from the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum is part of ongoing efforts to empower young people and bolster their future leadership roles. It exemplifies the constructive integration between MoEHE and the Ministry of Sports and Youth, representing a significant step towards building an integrated youth system that combines pedagogical values, leadership skills, and interactive activities.
The collaboration underscores a national vision aimed at preparing a powerful generation that merges science and action, equipped with identity, societal values, and responsibility. The forum included a workshop for students from 24 secondary schools, aimed at advancing their thinking, initiative-creating, and collective work capabilities. Awards were given to winning schools under the theme “Paths of Knowledge,” encouraging the pursuit of youth initiatives.
HE President of Barzan Youth Center, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, emphasized the importance of these councils in enhancing leadership skills. He highlighted the center’s commitment to supporting these initiatives to build a discerning generation of youth grounded in noble Islamic precepts and capable of responsibly leading the community.
