Basra crude recorded slight weekly gains, with Brent heading towards achieving its first weekly increase in three weeks. Basra Heavy crude closed in its last session yesterday, Friday, at an increase of 93 cents, reaching $81.93 per barrel, and recorded weekly gains of 65 cents, equivalent to 0.80%. While Basra Average crude closed in its last session at an increase of 93 cents, reaching $86.43, and also recorded slight weekly gains of $1.21, equivalent to 1.79%. Oil prices rose yesterday, Friday, with Brent crude, the global benchmark, heading for its first weekly increase in three weeks, thanks to indications of improving global demand and stronger economic indicators from the main consumers, China and the United States.
