Among leading regional teacher training institutions, Bahrain Teachers College (BTC) has received international accreditation from the US Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Education Minister and Chairman of the High Education Council Board of Trustees, said that BTC achieved the highest degree of proficiency in all aspects of accreditation, including curriculum, teaching methods, training, administrative skills, and regulatory compliance.
He commended the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the educational system in Bahrain, which enabled it to achieve international recognition.
The minister expressed his gratitude for the follow-up and interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing and promoting educational programs in Bahrain.
According to the minister, obtaining international accreditation will enhance the college's ability to prepare teachers at a regional level, and enhance its opportunities for partnerships with the world's most distinguished higher education institutions.
