The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is gearing up to host an array of events marking the Saudi National Day celebrated annually on September 23, given the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and their peoples at all levels.

BTEA welcomed Saudi citizens to the kingdom to attend its events, in addition to other visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, citizens and residents.

The Authority indicated that the festivities include tours, folk music and entertaining shows to be held at key tourist attractions in Bahrain.

Bahraini hotels and resorts will also provide special accommodation offers on the occasion of the Saudi National Day to welcome Saudi and other visitors. The national carrier, Gulf Air, will also offer special travel packages on the same occasion.

BTEA Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nasser Ali Qaedi, said that events would be held at key tourist attractions in Bahrain, including shopping malls, beaches and streets to spread joy marking the occasion.

He pointed out that the celebrations of the Saudi National Day are within BTEA’s plans to promote Bahrain’s tourism, so as to increase the sector’s contributions to the kingdom’s GDP.

He added that BTEA’s Saudi National Day celebrations, themed "Delighted to See You", express joy over Saudi citizens’ visit to Bahrain.

Dr. Qaedi welcomed Saudi visitors and tourists who will arrive in the kingdom to attend the festivities, tourist tours and musical concerts and various shows to be held across the kingdom’s regions, expressing confidence that the events will attract visitors from Bahrain and GCC countries.
