Manama, Nawaf bin Mohammed Al Ma'awda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, issued Edict (59) of 2024, setting the date for the Council of Representatives by-elections for the first constituency in Muharraq Governorate. The edict stipulates the following: Article I Registered voters listed following Decree Law (14) of 2002, regarding the exercise of political rights and its amendments, within the first constituency of Muharraq Governorate, are requested to attend the polling and counting committee headquarters to participate in the election of a Council of Representatives member for their constituency on Saturday, September 7, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. In cases requiring re-election, it will be held on Saturday, September 14, from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The elections for that constituency will be conducted at Bahraini embassies, consulates, and diplomatic missions abroad on Tuesday, September 3. The re-elections will be held on Tuesday, September 10. Article II Nominations for membership in the Council of Representatives for the first electoral constituency in Al Muharraq Governorate will be accepted from Saturday, August 10, through Monday, August 12.
