Cabinet Condemns Iranian Attacks, Affirms Security Measures

Doha: HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting on Wednesday at the Amiri Diwan. Following the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi delivered a statement.

According to Qatar News Agency, at the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs condemned the military escalation in the region, highlighting the repercussions that have extended to targeting Qatar's territory and some civilian and vital facilities. His Excellency emphasized that the security and stability in Qatar are supported by the leadership of HH the Amir, societal cohesion, and the efforts of state institutions and their national cadres.

His Excellency stated that HH the Amir has instructed that efforts should continue to ensure uninterrupted services across all sectors. In this context, he commended the Qatar Armed Forces for their readiness and efficiency in protecting the country's airspace and praised the security services for maintaining societal stability. His Excellency also expressed pride in the community's awareness and responsibility during these circumstances.

The Cabinet expressed strong condemnation of the continued Iranian attacks on Qatar's territory and neighboring countries, describing them as violations of national sovereignty and good neighborliness. The Cabinet stressed that Qatar will take necessary measures to defend its sovereignty, security, and national interests, aligned with the UN Charter and international law.

The Cabinet called for an immediate halt to escalatory actions, emphasizing dialogue and diplomatic efforts to contain the crisis and secure regional stability. The Cabinet also reviewed the agenda topics and made appropriate decisions.
