HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the regular meeting held yesterday by the Cabinet at its headquarters in the Amiri Diwan.

After that, the Cabinet considered the topics on the agenda as follows:

First: Taking the necessary measures to issue the following two draft laws on after the Shura Council had reviewed recommendations thereof:

1- A draft law to issue the Shura Council election system law.

2- A draft law on the Shura Council.

Second: Approving a draft decree defining the electoral districts of the Shura Council and their respective regions.

Third: Approving the following draft decisions of the Minister of Interior:

1- Nominating the head and members of the election committees for the Shura Council elections.

2- Forming a nominees committee and its work system and controls.

3- Forming a voters committee and its system and controls.

4- Determining the sources of financing spending on election campaigns and the controls and procedures for controlling it.
