The Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced the opening of candidacy for the Shura Council elections in its first session. MOI stated that, in accordance with the provisions of the Shura Council Election System Law, and within the framework of the electoral process timetable, the door for candidacy for the Shura Council elections will open, starting from Sunday, August 22, 2021 until Thursday August 26, 2021, from 4-8 PM at the headquarters of the Candidates Committee located in the Events Hall at Qatar University.

The Ministry confirmed that the initial lists of candidates will be announced on Monday, August 30, 2021.
