Champions League: Barcelona Crushes Olympiacos in Group Stage Clash

Barcelona: Barcelona delivered a commanding performance on Tuesday, defeating Greek side Olympiacos 6-1 in the third round of the UEFA Champions League group stage. Fermin Lopez led the scoring with a hat trick, netting in the 23rd, 39th, and 76th minutes. Marcus Rashford added two goals in quick succession (74′, 79′), while Lamine Yamal converted a penalty in the 68th minute. Olympiacos’s lone goal came from Moroccan forward Ayoub El Kaabi in the 54th minute.

According to Qatar News Agency, with the win, Barcelona temporarily climbs to third place in the standings with six points. Olympiacos remains near the bottom with just one point, sitting in 32nd place.

Elsewhere in the group, Kazakhstan’s Kairat Almaty played to a goalless draw against Cypriot club Pafos. The result earned Kairat its first point of the tournament, placing it 34th, while Pafos moved up to 29th with two points.
