Beijing: China and the United States announced a series of tariff modification measures aimed at easing trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies. This announcement came after a two-day high-level meeting on economic and trade affairs between the two nations. Both countries acknowledged the significance of their bilateral economic and trade relationship to their own economies and the global market, emphasizing the need for a sustainable, long-term, and mutually beneficial economic and trade relationship.

According to Qatar News Agency, the joint statement released after the meeting highlighted the importance of resolving differences through equal dialogue and consultation. China’s News Agency (Xinhua) reported the Chinese commerce ministry spokesperson’s remarks, describing the joint statement as a significant step towards achieving this goal.
