The MoU’s scope of work includes exchanging professional expertise in computer science, information systems, information technology and next generation technologies, and cooperating in the areas of education and training. It also aims to provide training courses to build the capacity regarding the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), which provides a larger number of internet addresses that, in turn, enable internet growth and is a key enabler for fifth-generation technology (5G) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Mr. Ali Al Suwaidi, Director of Technical Affairs Department at CRA, said: "Through the MoU, we look forward to enhancing coordination and cooperation between CRA and HBKU, which is in line with our keenness to cooperate with academia to exchange experiences, build and develop the skills and capacities of workers in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field".
