The Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a series of operations in separate areas of the country, which resulted in the arrest of a number of wanted persons.
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahia Rasool, said in a statement that, according to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad al-Sudani, and under the supervision of the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Abdel-Wahhab Al-Saadi, the heroes of the CTS carried out a series of operations in separate areas of the country.
He added that these units carried out a duty that resulted in the arrest of a wanted person in Kirkuk Governorate.
He continued, that with two separate operations, and in cooperation and coordination with the Sulaymaniyah Anti-Terrorism Directorate and the Sulaymaniyah Anti-Terrorism Regiment, two wanted persons were arrested in Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
He went on to say that the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service concluded their operations by arresting two terrorists in Anbar Province.
He stressed that the heroes of the Counter-Terrorism Service continue to carry out their duties throughout the day in every inch of our generous land.
