Damascus Countryside Governor Ahmed Khalil visited Friday several Lebanese families who have arrived in Syria recently following the Israeli fascist aggression against the brotherly Lebanon. The Governor's visit included a centers where these displaced people are housed, in the city of Sayyidah Zaynab, about 10 kilometers south of Damascus city. 'Syria has always been with the Lebanese at all times and circumstances, and will not abandon its fraternal duty towards them,' said the Governor. He added that the houses of the Syrians are open to the Lebanese brothers. He pointed that instructions were given to carry out a quick response to emergency situations, provide all support and assistance to those arriving from brotherly Lebanon, offer special attention to the elderly and children, and urgently provide health and food supplies and meet all their basic needs. Several Lebanese expressed their gratitude to the Syrian State for all the efforts it is making to meet their needs, and said that they felt a sp ecial attention from the first moment of their arrival in Syria.
