Dead and wounded as a result of an explosion in a restaurant in Beirut

Baghdad, Media outlets in Lebanon reported that there were deaths as a result of an explosion in a restaurant in the Bechara Al-Khoury area in the capital, Beirut. It explained that the explosion was caused by the explosion of gas bottles, while fire broke out in the restaurant. The Director General of Civil Defense in Lebanon, Brigadier General Raymond Khattar, said: 'At least 5 dead were transported by Civil Defense to area hospitals as a result of the fire that broke out in the restaurant.' The restaurant is located in a building that houses a number of Lebanese official departments, including the Imports Directorate in the Ministry of Finance and the National Litani River Authority.
