Gaza: The casualty figures from the unremitting Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, in the past 15 months, have surged to 47,283 fatalities and 11,472 injuries, mostly women and children.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Thursday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals in the enclave received 122 bodies of Palestinian martyrs during the latest 24-hour reporting period, of which 120 bodies were recovered from under the rubble of bombed-out buildings, along with 306 injured due to the ongoing Israeli operations in the Strip.

There are significant numbers of victims under the rubble with civil defense personnel painstakingly striving to reach them, albeit the shortages of potential and heavy equipment, the statement highlighted.

Despite the truce between the Israeli army and Hamas that took effect last Sunday, Israel continues to target civilians and vast areas across the Strip and causes further casualties.
