Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Sunday will be cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, maybe thundery at times, and blowing dust at places, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected thundery rain, strong wind, and poor horizontal visibility.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will also be challenging, with cloudy skies and a chance of scattered rain, potentially turning thundery. The Department of Meteorology has issued warnings for expected thundery rain, strong wind, and high sea conditions.
Inshore wind will be northwesterly at a speed of 12 – 22 KT, with gusts reaching up to 30 KT. Offshore winds will be slightly stronger, ranging from 15 – 25 KT, gusting up to 32 KT.
The sea state inshore is predicted to be between 3 – 5 ft, while offshore conditions are expected to range from 4 – 8 ft, occasionally rising to 10 ft. Visibility inshore is expected to be between 4 – 8 km, potentially dropping to 2 km or less in certain areas. Offshore visibility may also reduce to 3 km or less during thundery rain.
